Welcome to the new Galactic Empire wiki. The original wiki started in 2023, as a very basic attempt to try to find out some information about the game and have some sort of resource for fans, because there really weren't any at time. Learning more about the game internals led me to start work on ge-next, and until recently that has been my focus. After finishing 0.3 and ge-arena, I figured it was time to put Codex's great documentation skills to work and create a new wiki. I'd say this wiki is about 80% written by Codex under my supervision and 20% me. I've reviewed every word though.

Please make an account and contribute anything you can, especially if you know more about the history of Galactic Empire and Mike Murdock. If you know of another board that has GE, or another related GE project, submit it as an edit to Where to play and I'll take a look. If you find a mistake, let me know, and if something on the site is worded confusingly, let me know on that too and I'll rewrite it. I hope over time this will be more human-written and less AI speak, but I couldn't have done something on this scale on my own.

If you have access to any Galactic Empire release files prior to 3.2e or earlier source code revisions, I'd love to review them for historical purposes, and would refrain from publishing any of it.

Please join either or both of the GE Discords: ge-next Discord, The Major BBS Discord (<code>#galactic-empire</code>), whether that's to find other people to play GE with or to talk about code.

How many people are out there that remember Galactic Empire? How many people are there that still want to play today? I've found a few, but I know there are more, and it's never been easier to start a game. See you around the galaxy.
