Galactic Command Freighter
The Galactic Command Freighter is a ge-next Droid belonging to the Zygorian/Galactic Command faction. Its distinctive behavior is a supply voyage to Zygor, with defensive combat if that voyage is threatened. There is no corresponding classic Droid class.
ge-next behavior
The stock Zygor- class has maximum Mark-12 shields, Mark-10 phasers, warp 25, a 150,000-distance-unit scanner, a 500-point kill value, and exceptionally large cargo capacity. A new freighter can carry gold and assorted supplies, and is normally generated within roughly half the galaxy radius on each axis.
Freighters coordinate a recurring trip to sector 0 0. Normally one enters the travel-and-resupply sequence at a time, although a freighter with more than 50 hull damage can join it for repair. It steers toward the center, progressively slows, and stops within orbit range of Zygor. While stopped, it repairs hull damage in increments, pauses briefly, replenishes its cargo, then departs and travels outward before another freighter takes the scheduled turn. This is scripted NPC behavior, not a player-operated trade or maintenance transaction. The routine even prevents helm damage from derailing its route.
If attacked away from the neutral zone, the freighter steers roughly away and uses defensive phasers and torpedoes against a visible nearby target. It can also release decoys, activate a jammer, or use a zipper when the attacker is near mines and equipment is available. At 33 or more hull damage it tries a faster escape rather than a slower impulse withdrawal. It can send a distress call. Offensive fire is suppressed in the neutral zone, where its Zygor visit takes place. See ge-next NPC ship classes for the stock equipment and Droid distress for rescue consequences.
Hails
Its routine messages are promotional beacons for Zygor's ships and supplies and for Tahanian Station. A player regarded as hostile by Galactic Command receives warnings to keep away instead. When attacked, the Freighter protests and may say the attacker is no longer welcome at Zygor. That line does not itself bar trade: Zygor's actual refusal depends on the player's faction dislike. The Freighter can also send a separate distress call.
