Sarten Civil Transport
The Sarten Civil Transport is a ge-next Droid introduced with the expanded non-Cybertron population. It belongs to the Sarten faction and is a defensive civilian ship, not a dedicated pursuer. It is distinct from classic GE's Sarten Attack Drone and Sarten Obliterator, which were Cybertron-type ships rather than Droids.
ge-next behavior
The stock SCTx7 has maximum Mark-8 shields, Mark-6 phasers, warp 10, a 50,000-distance-unit scanner, and a 200-point kill value. New transports start comparatively close to the galactic center and may carry a modest amount of gold. They hail visible player ships when the ships are within mutual scanner range.
If attacked, the transport faces roughly away from the attacker and alternates between impulse evasions and faster cruising; when its target is obscured in a nebula, it can favor impulse maneuvering. It can fire phasers at a visible target within roughly 30,000 distance units. At impulse it may release decoys, and it may jam a nearby attacker when the jammer is stocked and ready. It has no torpedo or missile launchers. Like other non-combat transports, it may issue a distress call, so a player can become involved in a Sarten encounter without having initiated the attack. It does not actively search for disliked players to pursue. See ge-next NPC ship classes for its configured equipment and Droid distress for the broader rescue rules.
Hails
Its approach messages describe civilian passengers, flight from Cybertrons, and a wish for peace with other species. A player disliked by the Sartens instead hears warnings about previous attacks on Sarten vessels. When fired upon, the Transport protests and may say it will summon defense drones; that line is dialogue, not a command that immediately creates a patrol. A separate distress message can ask nearby players for help.
